Cold air feed...
This page contains instructions on a very simple modification that any owner with an aftermarket air filter kit cannot be without, especially if they are after more power and better performance from their car.
Aftermarket air filter kits are a very popular addition to many performance cars, along with an aftermarket exhaust they can help the engine breathe better and more efficiently......thus releasing more power very cheaply and effectively.
There is however one problem with these kits, and that is they can end up drawing in the very warm air from inside the engine bay, when this happens performance decreases, fuel consumption will go up and the car will generally not drive aswell as it could.
The solution is to fit a Cold Air Feed Pipe from the front of the car to the new air filter, which will allow a flow of very cold, dense, oxygen rich air to the engine. If you follow the pictures, you will see how easy this is to do, its all fairly simple stuff :)

Heres the pipe, just so you can get some idea of the size i`ve used.
Feed the pipe down to the front of the car, you will need to remove the O.E. Plastic funnel first, which is retained in place by two 6mm bolts
Top of the pipe is hold in place with a single ty-wrap, pointing directly onto the filters face.
I used two large ty-wraps to hold the pipe in postion, small wraps would do fine, or in a struggle even ty-wire.
Heres the view from the front of the car.Ever tried holding your hand out the window at 70mph?? ..its easy to imagine the amount of air travelling up this pipe.
