CT9a (Evo 7,8 & 9) rear arch rolling
So the current trend is with wider wheels that fill the arches out giving the car what's called more "stance".
The wider wheels are also cosmetically nicer themselves too due to having deeper dishes.
The issue here is that on a CT9a body you'll struggle to fit a 9.5" rim and appropriately sized tire without having rubbing issues on the rear quarter panel. One way around this to "roll" the lip of the rear quarter upwards. I had this done to my car.
I would not have it done again.
In my case i went into the body shop for a light roll, and ended up having quite major surgery due to the panels distorting. Both rear arches ended up being filled and re-sprayed. Sure, the job was very good in the end, and due to the fact that it had turned into a full on repair job, the lips were totally folded back out of the way, great for wide wheels and tires. But so much heartache. And you know what, i've since heard about, and seen so many distorted panels on Evo's 7-9 its unreal. So my advice - pass on having it done.

The rear arches on the 9 GT once repaired...
Not so pretty...
